Boat dealer & broker websites

Through a new boats for sale website, BOATS.co.nz, Energise Web is now specialising in websites for boat dealers and boat brokers. This website has been in development for a year and was released to the public as well as boating professionals in February 2011.

One of the most attractive things about it is that it’s free to use. Boat dealers from Whangarei in the North Island to Wanaka in the South Island are already taking advantage of the free service to list their stock. In the current tight economy, luxury items like boats are one of the first things that spending dries up on and savings on advertising boats will hopefully assist these businesses to weather the tough times and be in a good place to expand as the recovery takes hold.

The general public can also advertise their own boats on the website at no cost and with their account, they can also select boats to watch or get email notifications when a boat is listed that meets their search terms.

Boat Dealer Websites

Boat dealers already using Boats.co.nz to build their stock listings into their own websites include;

Marine North
Warren Hay Marine

A big advantage of doing this is that it increases the exposure of a dealer’s stock listings while reducing the number of websites that they have to upload to. Also, because of the iconic domain name: BOATS.co.nz, the website will grow to become a prominant (and hopefully “dominant”) website used by boating enthusiasts all over the country.

The cost to develop a website varies depending on requirements but for boat dealers with existing websites, it may be possible to build their boat listings into their website with no up front costs. There is a small monthly fee for using BOATS.co.nz to add your listings to your business website but it is far less than many dealers are currently paying.

There are big plans for the improvement and expansion of the website, including a boating articles section and a marine services directory. It is hoped that boating fraternity will see it as an opportunity to promote their own businesses by posting useful and informative articles to the site.

Anyone interested in using BOATS.co.nz to sell their boats or promote their business should call on 0800 627 546 or email admin@boats.co.nz.
